Day 01: Arrival Delhi:
Arrival at Delhi and after the warm greetings by our tour representative, your transfer arrangement will be made to hotel. Night stay in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi:
On the first day of Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour with Golden Triangle, enjoy exploring the most famous attractions of Delhi like- the Rajghat (cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi), Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Lotus temple, Kutub Miniar, the Chandni Chowk area, Humayun's Tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple and the India Gate. You can spend some of your free time in shopping. Tours representative will drop you to hotel for your overnight comfortable stay.
Day 03: Delhi-Jaipur:
On third day of the Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour with Golden Triangle your travel is booked for a visit to the next destination- Jaipur. At Jaipur, our representative will accompany you to check-in to a hotel booked before for a night’s stay.
Day 04: At Jaipur:
Take morning breakfast and enjoy seeing the most important destination of Golden Triangle Tour in India by exploring Jaipur. Here you will enjoy seeing the all three forts of Jaipur namely- the Amber, the Jaigarh and the Nahargarh. You will also visit other charming sights of Jaipur like the Hawa Mahal- Palace of winds, the City Square & Palace, and Albert hall museum. Evening of Jaipur is quite lovely & you will enjoy much to watch it.
Day 04: Jaipur-Agra (En-route Fatehpur Sikri )
After the morning breakfast you will be drive to Agra "Taj City" of India, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri. This place was built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 to memorialize the birth of his son and later abandoned due to scarcity of water. Here you will see amazing Bulund Darwaza - the largest gateway in the world, and the Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, a renowned Sufi saint of India. On arrival at Agra, check-in to the hotel. Rest of day at leisure and later your night stay arrangement will be made in a hotel at Agra.
Day 05: Agra- Varanasi:
After the morning breakfast, you will be drive to see illustrious Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. The Taj Mahal, a symbol of eternal love of a Mughal king and his queen which is counted as a world’s wonder and it is also known as world’s heritage site and considered as the most beautiful historic monument in the world. In evening, you will be transferred to Railway Station for overnight train journey to Varanasi.
Day 6: Varanasi:
On arrival at Varanasi, you will be checked in to hotel. Take Morning breakfast and enjoy your full day sightseeing tour to explore Varanasi very enthusiastically. You will visit the river Ganga, some famous temples and excursion to Sarnath, which is the spiritual centre of Buddhism. You will see famous Dhamaekha Stupa, Moolgandha Kuti Vihar and famous Sarnath museum having rich collection of antiques from Ancient India. Your overnight stay arrangement is in Varanasi.
Day 7: Varanasi-Bodhgaya:
Take early morning visit to lively Ghats of the Ganges to enjoy the religious culture of Varanasi and later proceed to Bodhgaya. Check into the hotel, on arrival at Bodhgaya. Relax and stay overnight at hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 08: Bodhgaya:
Take morning breakfast and visit the sacred Mahabodhi Temple - where the Buddha attained enlightenment under a Bodhi Tree. Afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya visiting Niranjana River, Sujata Village and many beautiful monasteries. Also visit Great Buddha Statue, Mahakala (Dungeswari) cave, Vajrasana, Animeshlocan Chaiyata, Bodhi Sarovar, Vishnupada Temple, Archaeological Museum of Bodhgaya, Japanese Buddha Temple, Thai temple and many more. At evening, visit the Mahabodhi Temple for prayer. Your overnight stay arrangement is in Bodhgaya.
Day 09: Bodhgaya- Nalanda –Rajgir:
On ninth day of your Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour with Golden Triangle, you will be drive to Rajgir but you will also visit a famous Budhhist site of Nalanda. Here you will visit the first university of India and centre of Buddhist education. This ancient city of Nalanda was the center of intellectual activity from the fifth century B.C. to the twelve century A.D. Also visit Hieun Tsang Memorial Hall, The remnants of Nalanda University, Nav Nalanda Vihar, Kundalpur (important destination for Jains, particularly for the Digambar sect of the Jains). Latter proceed for Rajgir where Lord Mahavira and Lord Buddha preached their sermons. Your overnight stay is arranged at a hotel in Rajgir.
Day 09: Rajgir-Pawapuri-Rajgir :
After the morning breakfast your full day sightseeing tour will be arranged to explore the many spiritual tourist destinations in Rajgir. This place has been related with both the historical person Buddha and Mahavira and is famous because Buddha spent many years meditating here. Rajgir is also admired and recognized as a health and winter resort due to its warm water ponds. It is believed that this warm water pond contains some medicinal properties that help cure many skin diseases. Latter you will also visit other attractions of Rajgir such as Griddhakuta hill, Jail of Bimbisara, Gym of Jarasandha, Venuvana, Karand tank, Maniyar math, Swamabhandar cave, Pippala cave, newly constructed Viswa Shanti Stupa and many more. Also enjoy the ropeway that leads uphill to the Shanti Stupa and Monasteries built by the Japanese Devotees of the Buddha on top of the Ratnagiri hill. During your tour to Rajgir, you will also drive to a close excursion from Rajgir i.e. Pawapuri (38 kilometers away from Rajgir). While Rajgir and Nalanda are foremost Buddhist pilgrim destinations, Pawapuri is equally a holy place for Jains. Lord Mahavira, the twenty fourth tirthankar, attained salvation here and was cremated at Pawapuri. Your overnight stay is arranged at a hotel in Rajgir.
Day 10: Rajgir- Vaishali- Patna:
After the morning breakfast, you will be drive to Patna (the capital city of Bihar). On the way you will also visit Vaisali, where Lord Buddha visited several times and preached his last sermon at Kolhua. Here you will visit places of tourist interest such as- Kolhua, where the King Ashoka erected a huge iron pillar and built a brick stupa, Vaishali Museum, Raja Vishal Ka Garh, Bawan Pokhar Temple built during the Pala period, Shanti Stupa, Buddha Stupa 1, Buddha Stupa 2 and Kundalpur. Continue your drive to Patna and on arrival at Patna check-in to the hotel. Your overnight stay is arranged at a hotel in Patna.
Day 11: Sightseeing of Patna (Departure):
On the last day of your Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour with Golden Triangle, your full day sightseeing tour will be arranged to explore the many tourist destinations of Patna. You will visit places such as Takht Shri Harmandir Saheb, Hanuman Temple near Patna Junction, Kumhrar (the place was the seat of Chandrgupta Maurya, the ruler of Magadh), Patna Museum, Golghar and Patna Planetarium (the largest Planetarium in Asia). At evening our representative will make your airport transfer arrangement to board your return flight back to your own destination.
