Barabar Caves
The Barabar and Nagarjuni hills where Barabar Caves lie are 41 kms from Bodhgaya at main Gaya-Patna road. These historical hills houses seven rock-cut caves, 4 of which are in the Barabar hills. These caves dating back to the third century, narrates details of the life of Buddha were carved out from solid rocks.

Built on a sacred site where the Buddha had frequently stayed, Nalanda is one of the world's oldest living cities which is situated approx 68 kms. away from Gaya and14 kms. from Rajgir. There was a Buddhist University of Nalanda, which was the most esteemed center of learning in Asia.

Rajgir is situated at a distance of 34 km from from the city of Gaya in Bihar. Rajgir was the capital of Magadh Mahajanpad when Pataliputra (currently known as Patna) was not established & it was then called as Rajgrih which means the dwelling of Royalty. The place is surrounded by five holy hills.

Vaishali is 80 km away from Gaya and 45 km from Patna in the state of Bihar. Lord Buddha visited this place several times and preached his last sermon at Kolhua, a nearby place at Vaishali. Emperor Ashoka put up one of his renowned lion pillars here in the 3rd century BC commemorate the event.
