Situated at Bodhgaya, Bihar, the Japanese Buddha Temple is a usual temple in a form of pagoda. The temple has excellent originality which makes it attractive. There is a 150 ft high gold statue of the meditating Buddha is positioned which had been brought from Japan.
A wonderful example of the Japanese architecture and deep rooted Buddhist preaching is the Indosan Nippon Japanese temple, which is located at a distance of 15 km from the town of Bodh Gaya. The temple itself has been fixed out from wood and resembles a typical Japanese shrine.
The temple houses many delicate Japanese paintings narrating many unique events form the life of Gautam Buddha. The temple was built in 1972 is one of the most well maintained and attended temples. Besides this temple, the Japanese Government and people have contributed for many projects for protection and spread of Buddhism and Buddha’s preaching.
